JEE Main is one of the toughest exams in India. It is the national level competitive examination for candidates seeking admissions to B.Tech programs at various NITs, NIITs, other centrally funded technical institutions and institutions funded by several participating state governments. JEE Main physics syllabus consists two section i.e. theoretical section consists 80% of syllabus and practical section consists 20% of syllabus.Cracking JEE Main is a tough job but once you have cleared JEE Main, you can easily get admission in various top notch engineering institutes and can also appear for JEE Advanced for admission to the undergraduate program offered by the IITs.
JEE Main is the most important examination for all aspirants who want to pursue engineering, all the aspirants who have appeared/passed Class XII with science stream from national/state recognized boards are eligible to apply. Every year lakhs of aspirants appear for this examinations. Through this post, candidates who want to appear in the exam will be able to get all the information related to JEE Main Physics Syllabus and tips to prepare for it.
Syllabus and Exam Pattern

Preparation Tips for JEE Main Physics Syllabus:
Candidates appearing for JEE Main have to be aware of the complete JEE Main Physics Syllabus so as to prepare well and get higher rankings. Focusing on the topics and preparing well keeping the syllabus as the base would help the candidate save time as well as has his/her attention on the important topics.
A major part of JEE Main consists of questions related to Physics, which makes it an important subject in terms of marks distribution. Having cleared the basics of what you have studied in class 11th and 12th is the key to scoring good in JEE Main. You should focus on scoring topics like Optics, Electricity & Magnetism, etc. and give extra attention to Kinematics and Particle dynamics. These are important parts of Mechanics and every year questions are asked from these topics.
According to the recent trend, Mechanics and Electricity Magnetism are the most important topics in terms of the number of questions. You should give ample amount of time to these topics.
Guidance and Mentor ship
As you are required to give your best in the limited time. You may face problems while going through different subject areas. A coaching institute, an experienced guide or a mentor will help a candidate a lot of the preparation.
Coaching institutes provide aspirants with study materials, preparation tests and doubt analysis for strong and weak areas of the candidate, which will help the aspirant in deciding their approach towards each section of the
subject. One of the important steps toward a preparation is to identify the subjects of your interests and weaknesses and make an individual strategy for them. You should keep asking the doubts to your mentor or even friends and make sure no doubts shall remain unanswered.
Time Management and Practice
It is advisable to take topic-wise sectional tests and practice several mock papers and actual previous year papers, in order to get familiar with the pattern and syllabus that is followed for JEE Main.
Division of Time is essential in order to make sure that you attempt all the sections of the entire paper properly. Managing time during preparation and during exam plays a very crucial role. Do not waste time on questions you don’t understand, move on to next question.
You should try to solve practice questions or numerical related to all the topics, practicing as much the candidate can from the past year question booklets and sample papers available on the internet and bookstores can
help a lot in understanding the format and get along with the questions of JEE Main.
Self-study is also very important during the preparation of the examination. You should try to reserve most of their precious time for self-study rather than engaging in tuition and coaching. It helps you to score good marks.
You should make separate notes of all the formulas of in each topic. For tackling the numerical and calculation based questions, you should revise important mathematical formula and have a grasp of class 10th Mathematics
as these questions required mathematical techniques.
Revision is very necessary before taking any examination or test, candidates should try to complete his/her syllabus 2 or 3 weeks before of the examination. Assign your last 2 weeks only for revision, it will definitely help candidates to obtain good marks.
