JEE Main Cut off is the minimum marks required by a candidate to be eligible for admission to B.Tech/B.E, B.Arch/B.Plan. programmes in various NITs, IIITs and Government Funded Technical Institutions(GFTIs). The joint counselling and seat allotment of various seats in GFTIs will be conducted in online mode. Only the candidates who will qualify JEE Main will be able to participate in JEE Main Counselling and Seat Allotment.
- To appear in GFTIs Counselling, candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks in JEE Mains Exam.
- JEE Main Rank Card will be prepared from the score obtained in the JEE Main 2018.
- The admission to various GFTIs will be done based on the JEE Main All India Rank obtained by the candidate.
Expected JEE Main Cut Off for GFTIs
JEE Main 2018 offline and online exam will be conducted in the month of April 2018. The Result is expected to be out within two weeks after the completion of both Offline and online examination. CBSE will release the official cut off along with the announcement of result on its official website. The scores of the applicants will also be published in the result.

JEE Main Cut off is calculated on the basis of a number of factors. Here are the most important factors that help derive Cut off each year:
- Number of candidates appeared in the examination

GFTIs Counselling based on JEE Mains Score
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is responsible for counselling and seat allocation process for all the qualified candidates who will clear JEE Main.
JoSAA will conduct the seat allotment process for admissions to over 30,000 undergraduate engineering seats across IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Successful candidates will be allotted seats depending upon their category and fulfillment of the JoSAA eligibility criteria if they qualify the JEE Main.
Seat allocation of JoSAA will be done online based on the applicant’s rank, category, availability of seats and other factors. After the allocation of the seat, the candidate is advised to get their document verified and pay the fee at their allotted institute.
